Antonio Eromonsele Nordby Nusa (born 17 April 2005) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and the Norway national team.

Club career

[edit]

Starting his career at Langhus, he moved to Stabæk's youth section at the age of 13.[3] He signed his first professional contract with Stabæk in May 2020.[4]

He was given the chance to train with the senior team in early 2021,[5] and subsequently given a new three-year contract in May of that year.[6] On 30 May 2021, he made his Eliteserien debut against Rosenborg.[7] On 27 June 2021, he scored his first goal for the club in a 4–1 defeat against Bodø/Glimt.[8] He made his full debut three days later, scoring two goals against Viking FK.[9][10]

During the last transfer day of summer 2021, he signed a contract with Club Brugge. On 13 September 2022, he scored a goal in his Champions League debut in a 4–0 away win against Porto,[11] becoming the youngest Norwegian player to feature, and the second youngest player of any nationality to score in the competition.[12][13][14]

On 13 August 2024, Nusa signed a five-year contract with RB Leipzig in Germany.[15]

International career

[edit]

Nusa was called up by the Norway U19s for the elite qualifying round for the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and scored the winner in a 2–1 win over France in Orléans.[16]

In August 2023, Nusa received his first call-up to the Norway senior national team by head coach Ståle Solbakken, for a friendly match against Jordan and a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match against Georgia.[17] He scored his first international goal for Norway in his debut match against Jordan.[18]

Personal life

[edit]

Nusa was born in Norway to a Nigerian father and Norwegian mother.[19]
