Reception

[edit]

The Nollywood Review, praised the storyline, African setting, acting, plot and props. It particularly felt usage of pidgin English was well appreciated and added to the originality of the film. However, it downplayed the acting of "Aunty Ronke" explaining that she didn't add enough life to her role as a mother and was not convincing enough.[5] Pulse Nigeria called it a "suspense filled series", that was the rave of the moment.[6] This Day Newspaper espoused that the casting and screenplay were fundamental to the success of the series.[7][8]
