Czechoslovak Rutenia given to Ukrainie

[edit]

Hi Spiridon,

Great work. Congratulation.

But I see some problems with the text.

  • Before 1920 "Czechoslovak Rutenia" was a part of Austria-Hungary and many forms of Hungary for more than a 1000 year.
  • It was a part of Czechoslovakia only between 1920 and 1939. Then Czechoslovakia has been split.
  • Hungary occupied it again in 1939.
  • The USSR occupied it in 1944.
  • And it has only been officially given to Ukrainie in 1946.

So because it was a part of so many countries most probably it would be better to call it "Carpatho-Ruthenia", because it is in the Carpathians and most of the citizens are/were Rusyns/Ruthens/Ukrainians (and not Czechs, Slovaks, Hungarians, Romanians, etc.)... Please check Carpatho-Ruthenia.

Regards, Tamaas
