Size and source
[edit]While it is true that the image should come down to 300px wide, there is an issue on how it is being done.
It hinges on the source. Right now, since we never got a link to the solicit image from DC's site, that web source is lost. The coloration of the original upload is, at this point, assumed to be what DC originally released after the teazer. If the coloring is changing it's either 1) the uploader manipulating the image to "fix" it, which should not be happening or 2) coming from another source which the uploader should be fixing in the FUR.
It's also worth noting that the "quality" does not change between the two. Using that as a reason isn't really being fair and smacks of "I like mine better".

- Image 1.
- Image 2.
- Do you see the difference? The first image does not look good shrunken.
- If we have to use an image with the title on, like this, then so be it. --DrBat (talk) 16:32, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, under my normal browser, I don't - IE8 is bringing up a "Can't render" red "X" box for you preferred image. Both for the Tinypic site (which wouldn't be a valid source anyway) or here.
- I did look at it through Firefox though and that is where it became clear you doctored the color.
- As for the MTV site...
- I really wish you hadn't linked to it since it plasters a full pager "You aren't in the US. Go here or stay?" warning on load over the preview.
- The coloring matches the file you want to replace, which speaks volumes for not ditching it.
- The cover as published and the straight art also speak to not using Noto's work, nice though it is, for most characters. His palette tends to run to pastel shades in a tight grouping that come off as either washed out or skewed compared to how the characters appear else where.

- I never touched the color of my image; all I did was shrink the image with photoshop. Also, putting the images on tinypic was just to compare how the two looked like at 250px, not to serve as a source.
- What do you think about this version, then? Or do you think we should use another image besides Noto's? --DrBat (talk) 18:04, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- The Source post at least gives a link to use for the current image - yes it looks like the same one and it is likely that DC would not have had 2 different files of the same images up with different coloring. And shrining it doesn't look like it's a problem (I'll upload anr revert in a moment...)
- At the moment, this is the closest fit to the Project guidelines I've seen. I'd prefer something less washed out, but not if it back tracks on the other points. - J Greb (talk) 18:34, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- And on a side note... Anyone else useing IE losing the image now? - J Greb (talk) 18:50, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, it's not showing up for me on IE either, so I'll leave it alone. Sorry about that. --DrBat (talk) 18:54, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
