Greetings,

Since this is an image cropped from a lithograph, does that mean the garment no longer exists? The brown background is obviously skin - deer, maybe? What are the white embellishments? Did the Powhatan embroider? Are they painted? Are they also skin that is adhered somehow? Is this garment meant to be a mantle of so-called "King / Chief Powhatan", Wahunsenacawh - the father of Pocahontas?
