Photograph of a young Chinese woman in Chinese dress, sitting on chair by table, taken in a studio. Her hair is pulled back and held with a decorative ornament. Her left ear ring is visible. Her left hand is in her lap on a cloth. Her right hand holds a closed fan and is resting on the table. The table is covered with a tassled table cloth. On the table are two books, a rice bowl, a vase holding flowers, a clock, an an unidentified object. There is a rug on the floor and a fake backdrop behind her.
