Summary

Description
English: Gypsum of the Yesares member of the Sorbas basin, formed in association with the Messinian salinity crisis. The gypsum can be clearly seen to have formed at the sediment surface, forming cones separated by laminated sediments. The cliff's height is about 100m, requiring the evaporation of 100km of seawater (through several desiccation-refilling cycles) to be produced.
