English: Victoria Railways 5'3" gauge T H Woodroffe designed 'D4' Class (ex-Class 'DDE') suburban passenger 4-6-2T No.D$ 268 (VR Newport of 1910, withdrawn 1960) at the Victoria Railway Museum, North Williamstown, 2 April 2016. VR's Newport works built 58 DDE's in 1908-13 as a tank version of the DD (later D1) 4-6-0. In 1926 one was sold to the State electricity Commission of Victoria to work as a shunter (!) at Yallourn Power Station. Even some VR locos, displaced by elctrification, saw use as shunters.
