DescriptionUsk Bridge over Dolau Meadows - geograph.org.uk - 355839.jpg
English: Usk Bridge over Dolau Meadows Castle Meadows flood regularly as the fast-rising Usk/Wysg pours downstream after heavy rain. The name 'Usk' or, in Welsh 'Wysg', is thought to come from the same ancient British root (*esca)as the rivers Esk (of which there are several), Exe and Axe and meaning simply 'water'.
