Summary

Description Councilmembers Bagshaw, Burgess and Godden toured Bertha, the world’s largest tunnel boring machine, on Friday, June 28. WSDOT’s project administrator, Linea Laird, provided a close-up look and comprehensively explained how the machine was expected to dig a 1.7 mile long hole underneath the city.
