Summary

Description
English: Early 19th-century engraving commemorating the signing of the Peace of Lunéville 9 February 1801. The medallions show Emperor Francis II and First Consul Bonaparte. In the German-language description, it is said that the two men standing at the balcony are Joseph Bonaparte and Count von Cobenzl, the French and Austrian envoys who negotiated and signed the treaty. In the front, a mail coach is departing bringing the news of the signing of the treaty. The building is the mayor's residence and not, as is mistakenly said, the Chateau of Lunéville (Schloss Lunéville) a much larger building at the edge of the town.
