‘Trawlers’ by Nicholas Matthew Condy, about 1840-1850. This watercolour on paper depicts a number of large boats in the water: in the centre foreground there can be seen one boat with two boys sitting on the mast.

Nicholas Matthew Condy (1816-1851) was a British maritime artist who based himself in Plymouth, Devon.
