Sweetheart pin with the emblem of the South Irish Horse Regiment.
Title
Sweetheart pin with the emblem of the South Irish Horse Regiment.
Description
English: These items belonged to my grandfather, Thomas Holligan, who served in the South Irish Horse Regiment as a blacksmith from 1913 to 1919. The first item is a pin with the emblem of the South Irish Horse Regiment. These were called "sweetheat pins". This would have been sent to our grandmother while our grandfather was serving in France.
