Description

Троица Новозаветная с минеями. Ярославль. Конец XVII в.

Икона из церкви Феодоровской Божией Матери в Ярославле.

Бог Сын и Бог Отец в свете Бога Святого Духа - на престолах в окружении сил небесных. Окружают Троицу сферы с изображениями символов евангелистов и ангельских чинов, а далее - двенадцать миней (месячников), по числу месяцев в году с изображениями в них святых, особо почитаемых в этом месяце. Дальше от центра иконы и вне минейных сфер изображаются разные земли и народы, поклоняющиеся Святой Троице.

Икона показывает и мироустройство, но очень необычным, непривычным способом: не земля окружена небом, а наоборот, от небес во все стороны лежит земля. Троица - центр мироздания, Ей подчинены силы небесные, святые и православные народы.
