English: A sign of Wat Sri Ubon Rattanaram, Ubon Ratchathani province, Northeastern of Thailand. The name of this temple was inscribed in Thai Languages with Esan Dhamma script and English language. The Esan Dhamma Script is the name of that used in Northeastern of Thailand, called "Lao Dhamma Script" in Laos. This was used for religion texts in the ancient Kingdom of Lan Xang, originally based on the Lanna Script or "Tua Muang". ไทย: ป้ายชื่อวัดศรีอุบลรัตนาราม ตำบลในเมือง อำเภอเมืองอุบลราชธานี จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี. นามของวัดบนป้ายนี้เขียนเป็นภาษาไทยด้วยอักษรธรรมอีสานและภาษาอังกฤษ อักษรธรรมลาวอีสานนี้หากอยู่ในประเทศลาวจะเรียกว่าอักษรธรรมลาว เป็นอักษรโบราณที่ใช้ในการเขียนเรื่องทางศาสนาของอาณาจักรล้านช้าง ซึ่งรับสืบทอดมาจากอักษรธรรมล้านนาอีกชั้นหนึ่ง |
