Español: Vista de una serie de esquinas de las murallas de Saksaywaman, una ciudadela situada en las faldas al norte de la ciudad de es:Cusco, capital histórica del antiguo Imperio Inca, Perú. La ciudadela la comenzaron a construir los Killkes a comienzos del siglo XII y los incas la expandieron a partir del siglo XIII. Las paredes de piedra seca se componen de enormes piedras afinadas de forma tan precisa las unas con las otras que no era necesario utilizar mortero.
English: View of a row of corners of the walls of Saksaywaman, a citadel on the northern outskirts of the city of en:Cusco, historic capital of the Inca Empire, today Peru. The first sections of the citadel were first built by the Killke culture about 1100 and expanded by the Inca from the 13th century. The dry stone walls are composed of huge stones, which boulders are carefully cut by workers to fit them together extremely tightly without mortar.
Deutsch: Ansicht von Sacsayhuamán, einer Festungsanlage in den vorgelagerten Bergen nördlich von Cusco, der historischen Hauptstadt des Inkareiches. Der Bau der Wehranlage begann zur Zeit der sogenannten Killke-Kultur im frühen 12. Jahrhundert und die Anlage wurde ab dem 13. Jahrhundert durch die Inkas weiter ausgebaut. Die Festungswälle bilden ein Trockenmauerwerk aus großen Steinen, die so exakt bearbeitet wurden, dass sie ineinander passen, ohne dass Mörtel verwendet werden musste.

Começou a ser construída no período da cultura Killke, no início do século XII e os incas a expandiram a partir do século XIII. Os muros de pedra seca dispostas umas sobre as outras cuidadosamente cortadas por trabalhadores para encaixar umas nas outras de forma tão precisa que dispensam o uso de argamassa ou material ligante.

Nederlands: Blik op de ruïnes van Sacsayhuamán, een citadel aan de noordrand van Cuzco, de hoofdstad van het voormalige Incarijk. De eerste delen van de citadel werden rond 1100 gebouwd door voorgangers van de Inca's. De muren zijn zogeheten stapelmuren, dat wil zeggen dat er bij het bouwen geen specie gebruikt is.
