Summary

Description
English: Bottom left: Portsmouth Point, or "Spice Island", is part of Old Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Hampshire, on the southern coast of England. The name Spice Island comes from the area's seedy reputation, as it was known as the "Spice of Life". Men were easily found and press-ganged into Nelson's navy from Portsmouth Point due to its hostelries and for being where prostitutes plied their trade.

Top right: HMS Dolphin closed as a submarine base on 30 September 1998. The Royal Navy Submarine School (RNSMS) remained at Dolphin until 23 December 1999. The Submarine Escape Training Tank (SETT), a 30-metre (98 ft) deep tank of water used to instruct all RN submariners in pressurised escape, can still be seen.

Centre: a ship transports a wind turbine blade from a factory on the Isle of Wight on the horizon.
