Purpose of use	Clearly illustrates that the members of Pērkonkrusts were actively sought for recruitment by the German occupation authorities to the Arajs Kommando, one of the most notorious killing units of the Holocaust.
Replaceable?	This is a primary source historical document. It could be replaced by making a scan of one's own from an original copy of the newspaper. However, original copies of the wartime newspaper in question are not easy to come by. Hence the capture from the NLL scan.
Other information	The extent to which members of Pērkonkrusts took part in the Arajs Kommando is a matter of scholalrly debate in te history of the Holocaust in Latvia.
