Summary
DescriptionOtley Station Road.jpg |
English: This street is an excellent example of old terraced architecture in Yorkshire. This particular stretch has been very well preserved and is a view which gives a good feel of 'old Otley' - minus the cars, of course! The road is unusual in that it retains its original cobbled surface, dating from the early 1900s. It takes its name from the fact that it was the approach to Otley railway station, which used to be situated here before the closure of the branch line in the sixties. |
