Traveling from Erie, PA to Piketon, OH, we turned off busy I71 at exit 165
onto OH 97 so I could photograph the engine I had seen from the Interstate on the way up. I had my camera ready and this first shot was the best. The kids were ringing the bell. The rope at left sounds the whistle.
Terry Byrne rescued the 1903 Bakdwin engine from a Roanoke, Virginia scrap yard and moved it by truck to the site of his 24-hour restaurant near Bellville,Ohio. Ohio.
