English: Exterior view of a Mervyns store at 3960 Barranca Parkway in Irvine, California with signage indicating the imminent disestablishment of the company. This store opened in 1988 and co-anchored (along with Target ) the then newly built Crossroads Shopping Center. The center's original white, salmon and teal design was remodeled with an earth-toned paint scheme in the late 1990’s/early 2000’s, which it currently sported when this picture was taken. View taken from southbound sidewalk on Culver Drive, looking northwest. Postscript: The department store building was demolished in late 2010 after lying vacant for nearly two years.
