English: Menthorpe Gate railway station (site), Yorkshire Believed to have been opened in 1851 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Market Weighton to Selby, this station closed to passengers in 1953 and completely in 1964. View west towards Cliffe Common and Selby. The eastbound platform was here, the westbound platform behind the photographer and on the opposite side of the road.
