Summary
| Description |
English: E-6 process for color infrared film. This step depicts the exposure of Ektachrome Infrared to a panel of different light wavelengths. Each of the three layers is dyed to be sensitive to a different set of wavelengths. Infrared sensitizes the shallowest, IR-sensitive layer. Red and green wavelengths sensitize their respective layers. Blue wavelengths are blocked by the yellow filter; a different filter could be chosen, such as (for example) a red filter, which would additionally block green wavelengths, resulting in a different depiction of the scene. |
