English: Histopathology of systemic lupus erythematosus: (a) A longitudinal erythema on the left side of the hairline, forehead and left upper eyelid distributed in an “S” pattern. The forehead lesion showed obvious atrophy, telangiectasis and adhesive scales. (b) Histological examination showed epidermal atrophy, follicular plugging, and the perivascular infiltration of lymphocytes in the dermis (HE stain × 100). (c) Vacuolar alteration in the basal layer of the epidermis, and thickening of the basement membrane (HE stain × 400). |
