DescriptionHerne Hill Eurostar geograph-3671884-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Eurostar train to Waterloo passing Herne Hill.
View SE from the Up Main platform, catching a Eurostar International High Speed (Class 373) train from Paris (or Brussels), reduced to about 30 mph as it glided over the ordinary tracks from Fawkham Junction on the Kent Coast main line, to reach Waterloo International via the new flyover at Battersea. This route continued until November 2007 when the new high-speed line into St Pancras International was opened.
