English: Her Majesty's Iron Cased Screw Steam Frigate Resistance

The 6,070 tons vessel was built at Westwood, Baillie, Campbell & Cos London Yard on the Isle of Dogs. She was 280 feet long, with ram bows, and was armed with 18 guns. Powered by both steam and sail, 'Resistance' cost £237,291 to build.
