Description
English: The map shows the area between Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Williamsport, Maryland during the American Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg took place on July 1-3, 1863. The retreat to Williamsport to cross back into Virginia followed the battle.

Source This is a portion of an 1860s map created by J.H. Colton. It has been modified. The entire map can be found in the Library of Congress map, and shows mostly eastern Virginia, Maryland, southern Pennsylvania, and northern North Carolina.
