Summary

Description
English: A scene of the Chapter "SAWARABI "(SPROUT) of Illustrated handscroll of Tale of Genji (written by MURASAKI SHIKIBU(11th cent.). The handscroll was made in about ACE1130 and stored in TOKUGAWA Museum, Japan. The handscroll were separated to each sections and mounted to frame for conservation. Height about 21.5 cm.
