Deutsch: Flagge der Stadt Ratingen
Die Hauptsatzung beschreibt die Flagge wie folgt: „Die Stadtflagge zeigt die Farben rot-weiß-rot mit dem Stadtwappen im breiteren weißen Mittelstreifen.“
Die korrekte Beschreibung muss lauten: „Die Flagge ist in drei Bahnen im Verhältnis 1 : 3 : 1 von Rot zu Weiß zu Rot quergestreift und zeigt in der Mitte der weißen Bahn das Stadtwappen im Schild.“
