Summary

English: Dinky Toy models of the liner Queen Mary (foreground) and SS Normandie (background).
The casting of the Queen Mary is extensively damaged by cracking, warping and the entire bow section having become detached. This is owing to zinc pest, a particular problem with Dinky Toys of this age. Both of these toys are of similar age and have been stored together in their original boxes since new. Only one is seriously affected. |
