Summary

Description Marine Military Policeman, Frank Workman, from New River Air Station, North Carolina, tries to take down Aydin Polatci, from Turkey, during the 130-Kg Free-Style 19th World Military Wrestling Championship. Polatci won the match with a technical fall, 12-1 (2:58). The Conseil International du Sport Militaire 19th World Military Wrestling Championship (CISM) is a multi-national wrestling tournament hosted by Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Competing nations include: Brazil, China, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Slovakia, Turkey, the United States and Vietnam. Wrestlers will be competing in two different competitions, Free-Style and Greco-Roman. Founded on Feb. 18, 1948, CISM is one of the largest multi-disciplinary organizations in the world. With a motto of "Friendship Through Sport," CISM, with its 122 member nations, uses the playing field to unite armed forces of countries that may have previously confronted each other because of political and ideological differences.
