Deutsch: Die Haspel steht als Hinweis auf die im Mittelalter vorherrschende Erwerbstätigkeit der Leineweber ausgewiesen. Dieser mittlerweile ausgestorbene Beruf wurde vielfach noch zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts in den Standesamtsbüchem angeführt. Der Löwe als Hinweis auf die bis 1789 gegebene Zugehörigkeit zur Kurpfalz mit dem damaligen Oberamt Alzey, nach der Lehensgabe von 1139 durch die Grafen von Montfort.
