A diagram of the McDonnell-Douglas DC-10 engine and pylon assembly (for engines No. 1 and No. 3). Maintenance damage to the aft fitting resulted in the crash of American Airlines Flight 191 on 25 May 1979 outside O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois.
