English: Brigadier General Danilo Delapuz Lim belongs to a rare breed of scholar soldiers. His first assignment after graduating from West Point, New York was in Mindanao where he was wounded twice in combat in Sulu. His Division Commander Brigadier General Emilio Luga Jr. once described him as the bravest Lieutenant he has ever met. As a seasoned Scout Ranger, he was long involved in anti-insurgency, anti-terrorism, and anti-secessionist operations. Respected in military circles for his idealism, integrity, expertise and bravery, he remains unstained even by the slightest hint of corruption.
Columnist Julius Fortuna wrote, “He is probably the most credible military officer today.” In a recent article, Alejandro Lichauco described him “as one of the military figure today that so powerfully represents the face of integrity and valor expected of the Nation’s soldier.” He added that “Danny Lim represents moral rectitude in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.”
