English: Caisson ceiling in the central nave of Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, by Giuliano da Sangallo (16th century). The ceiling was gilt with the first gold from Americas.
Français : Plafond à caissons de la nef centrale de la basilique Sainte-Marie-Majeure à Rome. Œuvre de Giuliano da Sangallo (XVIe siècle). Le plafond fut doré avec le premier or venu des Amériques.
