English: The redesign of the grounds of the Blanton Museum in Austin completed in 2023 included a commissioned acrylic paint mural by Cuban-American painter Carmen Herrera, sited on the interior wall under the Michener Gallery Building’s loggia and spanning the entire width of the building, with the museum’s entrance in the middle. The mural's title, "Verde, que te quiero verde (Green, How I Desire You Green)", is from the refrain of a mournful 1928 poem by Spaniard Federico García Lorca called "Romance Sonámbulo," or "The Sleepwalker's Ballad," in which the poet longs for the unattainable. Herrera died in 2022.
