In the background an American ship in Yokohama harbor with to its right three rowing boats. Part of a series of foreigners on the wharves of Yokohama, that also includes File:Russen op een uitje-Rijksmuseum NG-663-5.jpeg. Scenes like this are known as Yokohama-e. Carver seal is Kobayashi hori Kane (Kobayashi Kangegorō). |
