Summary

Description

Family: Mimosaceae Distribution: Common in deciduous forests, Found in India, Srilanka and East Africa. Deciduous trees. Leaves 6-12 cm long, pinnae 8-12 pairs, leaflets 10-30pairs, 0.5-1mmx4-5mm linear oblong, rachis pubescent. Flowers 2-3 mm across, creamy yellow in 1.5-2cm across globose heads.Pods 8-20x2-4 cmlong flat compressed. Powdered dry leaves are used to wash the hair.
