Arknights: Endfield (simplified Chinese: 明日方舟：终末地; traditional Chinese: 明日方舟：終末地; lit. 'Ark of Tomorrow: Land of the End') is an upcoming open-world video game. It is a spinoff of Arknights. The game is a free-to-play game with paid content and will be released globally on multiple platforms including PC, PS5 and mobile.
Synopsis
[edit]The story of Arknights: Endfield takes place on a planet called "Talos-II", and the player will be the administrator of the "Agreement Recovery Department" of the "Final Earth Industry", and gradually explore the open area according to the guidelines. Talos-II is a world of natural disasters and crises. There is a dangerous supernatural disaster called "Erosion" on Talos-II, which causes distorted environments and abnormal physical phenomena in the eroded areas. Much of Talos-II is a wilderness and no-man's land waiting to be explored and explored, and the creature Angel is one of the dangers of the wilderness, with the pioneers belonging to different nations and organizations, cooperating and competing with each other on a regular basis.[2][3]
With the resumption of the exploration of the ruins by the major powers of Talos-II, the Protocol Recycling Department was rebuilt under the leadership of Superintendent Perica. The Final Earth Engineering Center has integrated a large number of prototype equipment from the Protocol Recycling Department and successfully developed the "Automated Integrated Industrial System". In order to prove the reliability of the system's transmission technology, the Protocol Recycling Department chose "Valley No. 4", which is the worst environment in the Expanded Zone and the most deprived of resources, as its target, and attempted to use it as the basis for its gradual exploration outwards.[4]
Gameplay
[edit]Similar to other games, Arknights: Endfield consists of defeating monsters and collecting items.[5]
Development
[edit]On March 10, 2022, Hypergryph opened official accounts of Arknights: Endfield.[6][7] On March 16, the pilot trailer was released, and the official multi-language website was announced, where players could pre-register the game on the official website, and the graphic on the back of the website showed a countdown to 48:00:00, which indicated that the official gameplay video would be released in 2 days.[8][9]
On December 14, 2024 the game released the second trailer, announcing that a second beta test happened on January 17, 2025.[10]
Release
[edit]As of January 2025, Arknights: Endfield hasn't announced an official release date yet since recent closed beta test.[11]
